Wacky Wi-Fi: The Necessary Evil

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet. Well, maybe not-so sweet. Due to some ridiculousness or another, my internet (and wi-fi) has been giving me all manner of trouble the past few days.

It’s frustrating, because up until the last month or so, I’ve had little or no problems with my ISP. Sure, it hiccups every now and then. That’s not uncommon in my region because we’re isolated from most “big” cities and communities. There’s no priority from the internet and cable companies to keep us connected.

But for the last month, there’s been a massive increase in outages and line issues. The occasional blips and hiccups are more frequent. They last longer. It’s ridiculously annoying for those of us who work or go to school from home.

And it’s not just my ISP. It’s not just my region. I’m seeing this problem pop up everywhere, even in more heavily populated areas. What’s the point of having the best internet possible if it’s increasingly unreliable across the board?

So, this is a simple head’s up for you all. If blog posts are late, or if streams get cut off, just know that I’m still dealing with these problems. I haven’t abandoned you, I promise.

Anyhow, that’s my rant for the month. Hopefully, it’s the only one I have to post for a while that’s related to running my blog and streaming my games. It will either get resolved or it won’t.

I’ll find a way and I’ll see you soon, Adventurers!
