Support the Little Guys: Every Day is Small Business Saturday

From the small, sleepy towns to the big, bustling cities, local businesses can be found everywhere. Bars, restaurants, cafes, and food trucks for a bite to eat or a drink with friends. Boutiques, bookstores, and the friendly neighborhood game shops are great places to find gifts for everyone on your list.

And don’t forget the community events! Flea markets, craft fairs, and conventions are a great way to not only keep your spending money in the local economy, but meet artists. You can find even more local talent at music events, comedy clubs, or the community theater.

Are you looking for the perfect hand-made gift but didn’t make it to the craft fair? There are multitudes of artists with online shops full of unique, high-quality products. With websites like E-bay and Etsy, finding exactly what you want is as easy as clicking the search bar!

Now, with social media shops popping up everywhere, you don’t even have to leave your favorite site. Something is bound to catch your interest as you scroll through your timeline. Pages and groups run rampant with all manner of beautiful products to chose from.

Now, I’m not talking about the big-time content creators who are pulling in six (or more!) figures a year. I mean the little guys. The creators who just want to get to 1000 followers. The streamers who only need 100 more subscribers. Writers, musicians, and even more artists get their exposure, and their income, from followers, subscribers, and tips.

Something as simple as hitting the “follow” button on a social page helps boost the algorithms to get creators more exposure. Liking or sharing content that resonates with you broadens their audience. Helping boost their signal goes a long way in making sure they can continue posting consistently.

Gobble, gobble!

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance.
I must say you’ve done a very good job with this. Also,
the blog loads extremely fast for me on Chrome.
    Outstanding Blog!
